Thank you for visiting steam&sauna. So what should you buy? As you can see, we offer a variety of products all that will produce plentiful steam. So which one is best? .
First calculate the kW rating required for your steam room. You measure the room volume, length by width by height first – that’s the cubic volume. You then factor by a number derived from the type of room finish you use, usually a ceramic tile or a natural stone. So if your room is 300 cubic feet and is tile, you multiply the size by 1.3, or 390. For a natural stone, by 2 or 600 cubic feet. You can then cross reference the required kW rating for the adjusted size, 10kW for the ceramic tile and about 14-15kW for the natural stone finish. .
If you are building your room, and its quite big calculate the cost of the steam generator before selecting the finish as prices can go up dramatically, which may sway you to a ceramic tile finish rather than a natural stone. After that it’s simple to compare the prices and features using the kW rating to shop apples to apples. .
